Impakt Works: E*Rock Workshop
Groundbreaking American media artist E*Rock will come to Utrecht.
During his stay in Utrecht E*Rock will present his work at an Impakt Event and give a 3-day workshop at HKU, the Utrecht School of the Arts for those interested in creating their own Dogman 99 Flash Movie.
Dogman 99 Flash Movie = experimenting with Macromedia Flash, pushing the medium in ways that take inspiration from outdated technology, because of its simplicity and pushes it beyond what was possible in its own time.
The key of the genre is pushing up the boundaries of Flash application, while holding on to the rules of the Dogman 99 manifesto: no Wacom tablet, nog scanning, pure RGB colors only, fake tweening only, and as many alpha tricks as possible.

The workshop will be given by E*Rock, accompanied by Christina Della Guistina (HKU professor) and Ola Vasiljeva (Impakt Works resident artist, www.olabrothers.com)
