Impakt Invites: OK.Video - Jakarta International Video Festival

Video - Jakarta International Video Festival is een tweejaarlijks videofestival dat sinds 2003 in Indonesië plaatsvindt en georganiseerd wordt door het kunstenaarscollectief ruangrupa. ruangrupa is opgericht in 2000 door een groep in Jakarta werkzaam zijnde kunstenaars. Het kunstenaarsinitiatief heeft als doel de ontwikkeling van (hedendaagse) kunst te stimuleren, met name binnen de stedelijke context. ruangrupa organiseert hiertoe tentoonstellingen, festivals en workshops, verricht onderzoek en brengt publicaties uit. Ade Darmawan en Reza Afisina van ruangrupa stellen hun collectief voor en presenteren een programma met hoogtepunten uit het OK. Video Festival. Naast videovertoningen op het Impakt Festival zullen zij ook op uitnodiging van Casco en Centraal Museum een bijdrage leveren aan de ontwikkeling van het Casco huis. Gedurende hun verblijf zullen zij het appartement transformeren tot 'ruangrupa Huis', een verwijzing naar culturele instellingen zoals het 'Erasmus Huis' in Jakarta. Hierbij spelen zij met de institutionele agenda van dergelijke organisaties. 14 oktober, 19:00-22:00 'ruangrupa Huis' - open huis & Indonesian Cinema Special Op 14 oktober zullen Ade Darmawan and Reza Afisina een open huis organiseren en een Indonesian Cinema Special verzorgen. U kunt zich hiervoor aanmelden via de website van Utrecht Manifest. Gedurende hun verblijf in het Casco huis, zal ruangrupa ook activiteiten organiseren voor het Centraal Museum.
